Its all go here at the moment had to put it on hold for a short while as im building an extension on my house. But at least i will have another double garage when its done
Dont worry it will get completed i havent spent all this time so far for nothing
Im also getting married in about 6 weeks and my camper is a guest at my wedding so the original engine needs to stay firmly in place for now

Just blowing the dust off this thread as its been a while! Now my wedding is out the way and the house extension is nearly complete ive been mulling over a bigger diesel conversion. I pick the donor up next week. Im going to try and fit a 2.4 turbo diesel Isuzu lump and gearbox in my camper and carry on with the 1.8tdi for my panel van as i think it will be a nice conversion but power and torque wise the 2.4td should be great.I will pop some pics up of the donor when I pick it up

It got about as much power as a 12volt hair dryer. They belong in boats not cars or vans. hows the perkins running mark?? the rear crank seal any better now?

This is it 2.4td right little flyer
Nice little compact unit,the blocks are very short and compact for the CCs of power. Snotted off a few vw type 25s on the way home

Nissan Caravan / Isuzu Fargo / homy... Oh they are all the same! .........
I have the 3.2turbo diesel which is a fantastic van. Goes anywhere ( over anything ) ...
Also have the 2 lithe twin cam turbo petrol 'Z' engine version which is pretty good too.....
I just need a good rootes...

Your all right really its a vauxhall midi van but hardley any of the 2.4td models had a floor mounted gearlever,they were all colum change. Cant wait to pull it out and pop it in my engine bay jig to suss it all out

You will have to hold it a good while longer yet as im still bob the builder. Not much left to do now on the build besides hang a few doors and tile my garage floor Then ive got to finish off my resto on my mk5 transit 150 before the camper can even get in the garage.But before that ive got to do a lancia delta integrale evo resto. There all in the queue. Got to squeeze in a mk5 transit halmark for a front and rear valance replacement as well it flustrates me as I really want to get on it now. Fingers crossed should be in and running by end of the year. But you never know whats round the corner
