Bit of a re think on the gear shift rod bush, bronze is just too expensive, so we will be trying acetal from now on, which has the added bonus of low gamma ray absorption ;)

I have to admit that I was a bit concerned about the propensity of bronze to absorb gamma rays and was going to mention it! :D

What on earth is acetal?

I don't know why i didn't notice it earlier Chris :I;)

It's a kind of engineering plastic, a bit like Nylon.

No problem with my gear change so will stick to what I've got. Sun was out today so been for a spin around Hackney. Never made it past 3rd gear unfortunately.

Oh yeah Kryptonite, that's it. Was it spiderman, with the gamma rays?

It Was The Hulk!! Remember old Bill Bixby getting all over exposed to gamma rays? no wonder Commeracer wants to limit gamma ray absortion. Imagine a gearshift bush that turns into THE HULK!!11!!

Hmmmmm, maybe that's why I'm scared of them - I'm a bit on the bulky side but I haven't turned green yet:) Except when I visit Martin M's workshop;)

What about changing a flat rear tyre in the rain? Surely that would be enough to send you on the rampage?

Nah - just sit inside, make a cuppa and wait for the rain to stop:)
