'Pia' The Whole Story!

Ah thanks for all the ecouragement peeps;) it's been a learning curve that's for sure, my hands are cracked and sore and i'm sick of the sight of the van HAHAHA. Hopefully not too much longer though now. Fuel will go in via the huge hole that i drilled out after i painted the floor:)
Your right Bernie, the gluing will commence within days now. And Panky, i can't believe we took the exact same picture from the same angle:eek:, anyway, better go out there and do some more:p good job you gave me that reel of welding wire Tim, i used the other one up yesterday;)

Hi all and once again thanks for all the positive words of encouragement;-) as some of you are aware, we moved house last week which has halted work on the van..i did however drive it to my mother in laws house to store her in anticipation of an m.o t very soon. Had a few snags fitting the new petrol tank nothing to do with your brilliance tim;-) my bad entirely) anyway, I can't post any recent pics as we don't get proper broadband until the 21st so have been posting on my phone(nightmare) still checking in every day but just lurking a fair bit as it takes ages to type a post on here panels are almost on...;-) Pics to follow soon:)

Well here i am again with yet another update:) as i said before, we won't make the Welsh meet unfortunately but the good news is.....Work resumes on PIA this week end;) i plan to get the new floor in and then start getting the interior back in aswel as getting all the panels on....It's a bit like Lego at the moment:eek: One of the back corner panels isn't the best fit due to it being a bit skyoowhiff??? May have to talk to Martin about it if i can't get it to fit? Sorry Martin but i shall try me damndest first;) The main thing is, she's coming home where she belongs. I could'nt do any work on her because she's currently sitting on a soft standing and i'm not jacking her up on that. Managed to contact the chap that picked her up from Newton Abbot for me and struck a deal, although, i'm sure the deal looks better on his side of the fence HAHAHA. Anyway, i shall ramble no more and hopefully be able to crack on again and maybe catch some part of this summer out in her? We shall see. It won't be for the want of trying that's for sure!

Hi Scott, hows your van coming on?, mine made it to wales and back and we had a brill time. When yours is done you will have to bring it round and show me. Just started on my bodywork this week end.

Hi all, hope your all well and have been enjoying the sunshine in your Vans ;)
Been a little quiet lately i am aware. No reason really, just getting stuck into the new house etc.

Van wise well...........I haven't done all that much i have to admit. If i'm honest i got a little bit dejected with the whole project. It just seemed that whatever i touched went to @hit. Everytime i started a job i was also creating another for some reason. A comedy of errors i guess. I went to clean the brakes for example and ended up taking the wheel cylinder off and snapping the copper fluid pipe:( Martin then made me one that didn't quiet work so i now await a new one to try, fingers crossed this time eh;)
Anyway, consolation is, i'm just two tiny holes away from finishing with the welder YAY, This week will see me done with it for a while (Hopefully, M.O.T man dependent) I must say, the underside is looking pretty good now if i don't say so myself, i've been under it most of the day with the Tetroseal, looks like new in places(Which is more than i can say for my eyes etc due to scraping the old stuff off) terrible dirty job but well worth it when the new stuff goes on. I have a few pics but camera doesn't do it justice so you will have to take my word for it HAHA! So jobs left before M.O.T are.......

Refit new copper brake hose and adjust brakes!
Weld a couple of small holes (Which i found through tinkering with a screwdriver:eek:!!!
Fit new K&N air filter!
Refit petrol tank!
Glue panels on (Optional)
Drive to test station:p
Fail Pass M.O.T:D Hopefully, maybe???

All of the above is heavy dependent on wether i create more jobs trying to put these ones right, which thus far has been a heavy percentage HAHAHAHA! I seriously cannot believe i'm still banging away at this van and haven't scrapped it by now which i have come very close to indeed:D

Come on Lad keep your chin up [)] Bernie says it will be worth it in the end :D

You have done loads of brill work [8D]

not too far to go now :)

Gladys :)

My exalont speling is masked by beer!!!

Thanks peeps, i'm not giving in, just get a bit down with it at times:) i like doing the work too sometimes. I just keep telling myself that it will all be worth the agro in the end and that i will never have to do it all again. You have no idea how close i have been of late to gracing Maisy's palms with silver and gold and buying her lovely van:D

Hello Commer Geeks;) sort of an update on things but sorta not too? Couple of weeks ago i set out to sort my sticky brake problem out. Stripped the front right out and gave it a bleeding good clean. On doing this i agitated the Cylinder pipe and the brittle brother broke:( on the email to Mr Maltas:p anyway, he sorted me a pipe out and of i went out there today to refit things and settle the score. Now whilst i was happy Cylindering, i managed to snap what i believe is the bleed pipe? Anyway, here's a pic of my breakages!

New sexy Maltas pipe

My question is this..............Do i need a new Cylinder/Brake expander/Whatever you call it?

If you can get the broken bit out of the cylinder then you're OK, if not the you won't be able to bleed the brakes:I
