Righty then, been out on the van today. As you can see from the pic, i have been cutting yet more metal out:O but it's for the greater good;) i removed the outriggers which were shot to bits unfortunately and couldn't be saved so i now await some fresh new ones from our Woolfy:)

So once i had all that done (Which seems to take ages once you start) it afforded me some time to put some new metal in:p thought i would start with the wheel arches as they appeard easy(Yeah right) especially when you have to fabricate a new fridge step onto a standard arch. Anyway, it was my first attempt at this kind of thing so i'm pretty pleased with it thus far. Never took me as long as i thought;) you can see in the pic that horrible patchwork piece:( i thought it was a scab of rust until i grinded away and found a fresh hole. Oh well, it's stronger than it was before;) thanks for the donor wheel arch Tim and Chris:) all in all, a pretty good days activity. Next to go on are the new Cills and outriggers[^]

Thanks chaps, admittedly, most of the hole is wheelarch HAHAHA, Looks very scary doesn't it. In the pic you dont see the cill, outrigger etc so i guess it looks worse than what it is. Ark at me.....The bloke who is scared of changing a bulb:D

Just remember to take all the essential safety precautions before you even start - get Bex to do it:)

HAHAHAHAHA! Yeah right, she came out with a cuppa and went 'Is that all you've done':( Talking of safety precautions, i tried taking the fuel tank off today and what a bugger that was........It was stuck fast so have doused it in WD40, will crack it tomorrow, most probably literally...It will stay off then to make way for a Commeracer special;)

Talking about gud un's...
Finally fitted y'gearbox yesterday and it seems very good:)
Just 1/2 where 3/4 supposed to be
3/4 where reverse supposed to be
no reverse:I
Slight adjustment still required, methinks ;)
Still, get back to your cutting/welding...

Took about 10mm on the tie bar adjuster and, hey presto, all gears where they should be.
Test drive reveals this box to work just fine.
Thanks Scott[8D]
Clutch is slipping now...

I'll let you know when I've fitted mine - you'll soon find out if it's a duff'n[}:)]
