thats ok mate thanks for posting them up for us. as you can see there is alot of work required to repair around by the front window screen area. and the roof is much the same all round. one of these pics is of the new inner front peak which we hve just made three pairs of ,one pair for sunny ,one pair for hunny, and one pair for the panel van.[}

It seems Woolfy doesn't need much sleep (not sure if I can get any now until Hunny's back with us) [:0]
Sally can stop wearing her scarves and thick jumpers when out in Hunny now, I somehow don't think there'll be any cold drafts once our new peak is complete

wait till you see the finish article on the peak. i broke my seventy pound digital camera yesterday, i left if in my pocket whilst i was working and accidently lent on something and broke the viewing screen , so now im finding it hard to take decent pics as im just having to aim the bloody thing in the general direction of the repairs and hopeing for the best. im right peeved off with myself as it was a present from the wite and was only two months old. anyway keep watching this space and i will try to get a few decent pics once its finished.

Even with a busted camera there's no hiding the quality of Woolfy's work We simply couldn't do this without you mate !
One question Woolfy, as this area will (unfortunately) never see daylight again but is highly prone to rotting out - will you be preparing is an Aquasteel type product or should I get some BiltHamber Electrox over to you for this ?

BTW : We've just a letter from a earlier owner of Hunny and some pics of when she was rescued from the scrappy - if I can scan them in OK I'll post these up too [8D]

I saw Hunny in the flesh for the first time in months, having travelled up to see Woolfy yesterday (cheers mate !) She's still on 'life support' but is already on the road to a full recovery [8D]
Although these pictures on this thread are great, they just don't convey the sheer quality of work and the obvious dedication and effort that goes in too.
I had a working demonstration of the heating, shrinking and hammering required to form the precise shape of the panels - fantastic ! Also I got a first hand view of Bass' camper, Sunny from Dorset and 'Van Woolf' too
Really encouraging to know that the restoration work also sets out to remove some of the 'design weaknesses' which cause our beloved Commers to rot so effectively in the first place - ingenious new peak design plus attention to sealing gutters and seams etc.
A big thanks to Woolfy, Mario & Mikey for the tour and hospitality !
Also picked up our Holbay & o/d gearbox, which are now with our ex-Rootes mechanic for their initial 'once over' healthcheck - fingers crossed ! (note to self : always plug open dizzy mountings etc with rags etc to prevent hire van carnage with 20/50 oil [:0])

oh no oil everywhere.hope there wasnt too much. just one thing paul did you take any pics of the new front valance welded on yesterday as i havent as of yet.if you did then i will let you do the honours of posting them up. thanks again for coming down yesterday it was nice to put a face to the name so to speak. if anyone else is ever interested in coming down and taking a look around to see how things are put together they are more than welcome, the kettle is always on.
