As he's flying up I think the second option is best, taking a can of petrol onto a plane could be frowned upon..........a bit.

Maybe I could get a few gallons of aviation (103 octane) fuel from the airport and get home quicker. That should make the Highwayman fly! HaHa.
 
I have just got back from Aberdeen. Flew from Leeds- Bradford, took an hour :) 399 miles back home, in 8-1/2 hours and that wasn't in a Commer:I
