Should have said the three points the weight hangs from are 1ft, 2ft, and 3ft from the fulcrum, which is a large hex bolt welded to the end of the bar. And it wasn't my torque wrench actually, but I did need to be confident in it :)

Yes, but that's basically the point. If they can't get the printed scale right, you wouldn't have much confidence in the engineering. And yes, you do need confidence in the engineering.

I've tested and calibrated it, surprisingly it is accurate and reliable.

Oh well, had to ask. I like to keep a spare of these kind of things. :)
