I’ve started having a little problem when reversing the front near side brake grabs, only just started last couple of times out no problem going forward !. Any ideas ?, here’s a picture of the shoes to check there in correct ?. Thanks

First of all I've never seen an adjuster like that on Commer brakes, doesn't mean they don't work but unusual. The shoes look to be on the right way round - are they new? The only thing I can think of, besides an accumulation of brakes dust, is that the brakes could be adjusted up a little too tight but it looks like the adjuster is backed right off so it might be a case of bedding the shoes in. Is the drum tight going on?

As a quick fix and might sound daft but maybe try switching the drums over to see if it helps. Sometimes it does with pulling left and right. Maybe chamfering the edges too?

Thanks for the replies, first off the brakes are regally good and no unevenness even when braking hard, the drum comes off easy to and yes the brake adjuster is right off . This is the second time I’ve removed the drum and there’s very little brake dust in there , the linings were new when I fitted them and still look good !, any other ideas welcome I can’t put it back together doing nothing to it ??

Try Jim's suggestion and swap the drums over side for side, if the problem goes away then great but if it transfers to the other side then maybe there an issue with the drum. You could also try filing more of a leading edge to the end of the shoes to, hopefully, stop them grabbing
