    Aaaargh! Help or sympathy needed!

So, I drove Frodo back to the barn on Friday, and everything was good, but I thought the engine sounded a bit "sucky" when you depressed the accelerator. On Saturday, a check showed that the tube from the carb to the vacuum advance had melted, so I stuck a new tube on. Frodo sounded great for...

Just looking back through 'Readers rides' I think there are far more out there than people think. I know of at least two local to me that haven't joined the forum. We just need to keep spreading the word!

    Frodo

FRODO LIVES! After a rather extended rest period (almost two years in all) Frodo passed his MOT today at the second attempt! The garage had a nightmare sorting out the emissions, had to take apart and clean the carb, adjust the timing from +40 to -8 (or something of that order!)and various...

    Microswitch for brakes

Doh! Didn't see them on your website Martin, and ordered on from speedies. I am still thinking about the microswitch option though - I read on another forum about someone who has both fitted as an "either or" set up to make it failproof. I am thinking about this for the winter months as part of...

    Microswitch for brakes

After my issue with the brake light switch I managed to circumvent the issue of a new switch, as the tab for the bayonet fitting for the live wire had snapped off. There is currently a crocodile clip on the end of the live wire, just holding on to the remnants of the copper tab so the lights are...

    Rear Spax Shocks

Sunbeam sam talks about adjustables on the front in readers rides "the snail" page 12. I don't think he touched the rear though.

    Brake light woes!

Yeah that seems like a good idea, in fact, it was my back up if I can't get the switch to work. Hopefully, half an hour with a soldering iron tomorrow night will fix it for now.

    Brake light woes!

Ok, solved it. The tab on one side of the switch had snapped off, connecting the two spare wires that were hanging around made them work, so I just need to solder a connection on, and we should be ready to go to the garage!

    Brake light woes!

Morning all! This could possibly be the last question for a while from me, cos if I can get this sorted, then Frodo is going to a local garage for a couple of hours of mechanic time, a tune up and some tlc, before having his MOT..... So now he is running, we did a quick once over and found...

    HELP!!!!

In the meantime, while you wait for the K&N: You should have a metal box that looks like a kidney with two holes in the bottom face, one of those holes goes on the top of your carb. Then you should have something that looks like a saucepan, with the air filter in it, that goes on the other hole...
