Looks solid enough, a damn good wash and polish would make it look so much better ! After a mechanical recommissioning, it does look like it could be run 'as is' - although we all know that seeing in the flesh shows more than just pictures !

I was pleasantly surprised that it looks much better and more solid than I thought - once I washed it and removed all the lichen and moss ! It still has the original mesh and most of it's lugs too. Indeed but harder to find for prototyping - 3D plastic printing is in the realms of the hobbyist now

The Commer factory record for a van can be obtained from somebody in the Imp Club who has access to the Rootes archive, I'll try to find up their name but IIRC costs about £20

The ones I have are a bit rough but will send you a pic to see whether they're better than what you have. The one I have for myself is in great condition, at some point I'm going to follow up getting it scanned and 3D printed in plastic. My thinking is it'll be a bit weak but might be OK once...
