Welcome! You’ll find lot s of information and support here!
Thanks.
Think I solved my need for a new brake master cylinder. Using a trailer master cylinder, same as a bronco. Bolted straight up, same bore size. Just had to modify the push rod slightly. Cosy $52, where if I ordered from UK, be over $200.
Going to use same setup for clutch, just have to find the right bore size

I'm pretty sure someone fitted a Landrover clutch master cylinder to our Bonnie in the past. It has a plastic reservoir cap that just sits proud of the floor by a couple of mm but it works and feels lighter than the standard pedal. No idea which model but I'm guessing an older one.

Hello everyone,

Need to replace the clutch master cylinder, any tip where i can find? the land rover master cylinder fitted there? model?
Cheers
stay in th commer please. :)

I really prefer the all part, the kits we never now.. can you please inform prices for the master cylinder?!

Hi boys and girls,
Just got hold of my first commer. Been reading as much as I can. Still chasing details of exact year. I’ve found the links but they didn’t work. Probably me‍♂ Where are the sticky’s that I keep reading about?
I know I’ll need a new brake and clutch master cylinder. Are they available and in Australia? Or get them from the UK? Do people upgraded the brakes?
Are there many commers in Aus? Iv also got a j2 in the shed but loving the commer more.
thanks

Been cutting rust out of it so havnt got back to the mechanical side

Hi Lowcommer good you have sorted your cylinders. There is a guy near me has a shed full of old and new Rootes parts if you need any help. Cheers.

I need those rear lights lol
Just searching the forum now on what different rims I can use. I’d like some smaller rims if possible

You can get 14" standard wheels just use smaller profile tyres, though will affect top end a fair bit with a standard 5.12 diff even with an overdrive. I've got 14" wheels (non standard) with low profile tyres and a 4.77 diff with overdrive will do 70 mph but bit high on the revs. Have a 4.22 diff to fit and the Vizard head porting mod to do at some point to drop the revs and add about 10% more power. The van stands at a nice usable height and wouldn't want it much lower due to the front overhang these vans have, very easy to scrape the front end.

Thanks jimberlake.
14inch would be perfect. Where did you get those from? If I could get 14inch steelies
But might have to just get lower profile tyres on original rims

I have a spare set of original 14 inch steel rims I would like to swap for some 15 inch rims.
