on my zenith at constant throttle fuel is being dragged out of the accelerator pump outlet at quite a volume any ideas

There are a couple of little ball valves in the accelerator pump, if they are passing or sticking open then the fuel could getting drawn through to the carb by a combination of a syphoning action from the float chamber and the venturi effect of the carb throat when on part throttle.

I think you are correct although I could only find one ball in another one I pulled down but I fitted the one under the discharge jets screw and it seems to have corrected the problem many thanks
