Your CVF needs you !

I've not been active on CVF for the last 10 days or so due to moving house and initial broadband issues. In the process I lost my saved link to the forum and had to access the forum via the CVF homepage for the first time in ages. This caused me to notice the 'Donate' button to help support the running costs of CVF.

I recall this option being discussed some while back but guess I must have missed the post announcing it becoming available. I've now made my donation to the running costs of CVF for my use to date and intend an annual payment ongoing. CVF has proven valuable to me in many ways over the last 2 years or so - infact without CVF it's highly likely I wouldn't have even dared buy our Commer !

If others have missed this function and would like to donate too, there's a link at ;

Commer 'Hi Tor' by TorCars

BUMP!

Thought I'd bump this to remind everyone how Admin can afford his V8!

LOL! seriously if it wasn't for this forum which is FREE! compared to how much[?] annual subscription at other clubs etc

I wonder how many folks would give up, or even be brave enough to buy a Commer if not for this great forum?

Another big thanks to Admin and everyone here[8D]

Happy to make a donation. The site has been very useful, and all on it friendly. Before i send the money, the link to donate says something about [email protected]. Is it supposed to? Didn't want to send the money to the wrong person. And computers confuse the hell out of me.

yup that's me! Thanks for all of your donations most timely given the annual bill is due next week:)

I know this site is free at the mo... but would the people that really do use this site all the time mind paying an annual fee, or do you receive enough in donations.... I know we wouldn't mind paying yearly :D

Or maybe you should make this topic a sticky post, as i know when we registered we missed the donation bit, didn't realise for ages that you could, until someone posted it :I

Donations possibly the way forward as I know when I wanted to let the Rover Forum know I had a P6 free to good home I would have had to pay just to let them know about it [V] put me off signing up and would hate to miss out on meeting new commers :)

Have made my donation happily. Have only been using the forum for about a month, but it proved helpful in learning what to look for, what i was letting myself in for, and just general information whilst i was looking for my van.
It isn't just the topics people are discussing at the moment. The older topics hold a wealth of info for someone who is new to the world of commers.
I wouldn't mind paying a subscription if it kept the forum going, but as studiocommer said, it might put new people off.
Either way, CVF is a great site, and as new users, appreciate it greatly.
Keep up the good work!

I don't really think it would put people off but i think you would just see other sites popping up over the net. I'm surprised it hasn't happened already to be honest. Give it a year or so and i bet there will be others.
