You live and learn

I have just had a lesson in the various Commer models from Speedy Spares.
I called them to order a couple of parts for the 61 Moto-Plus that I currently own thinking that it was a PA model but no! turns out it`s a series one Commer as designated by the chassis number, the PA range did`nt start til 1963 and ran through to the start of the PB`s in 1967...according to Speedys:)

Bloody Commer`s!

They probably learnt it from here! There is a thread somewhere explaining the model designations and the various changes to PA, PB etc.

I always thought the PA started with the introduction of the 'lozenge' grille, single front side lights and handbrake on the rear - Series I, II and III FC up to that point.

How refreshing

You are quite correct Panky.
I just wish I had paid more attention at school and I may have learnt something:(

Bloody Commer`s!

Wish they'd had a Commer class at my school:I
It would be a good point to add to the ebay description - even rarer:)

I think mine is one of the last Series models 1965 - the 66 models have the twin indicator [?]

Moley and Brian the Snail :)
