hi guys thanks for the support and help your all giving it helps to drive me on.do you know something mart i thought it was in the wrong place when i did it, but what threw me out was that i measured the outrigger on both sides of the van for lenght off of the main chassy rail, and they were both 17 and a quarter inches long.up till they met the inner cill, so i just welded it on,i should have checked and double checked as my mum would have said. i just hope its not in the way of the outter panels now, as i will be really pi-- off with myself. what do you think.
one of my next jobs is to get the roof back on the top of the van after the wind ripped it clean off a few months ago. other wise the rain is going to keep getting in and ruining all my handy work that ive done. trouble is its a job for a few people as its heavy and awkward, and ive got to try and hold it whilst pop riveting it back on using slightly bigger rivets than the previous ones as these have pulled straight through the fiber glass. is anyone up for a bit of welding this sunday and roof fixing.? bacon sarnies will be suppled again with cups of tea, like last time we had a welding day. just let me know if you all want to come over.
