Wires on fridge.

Hi, there are two wires running from my fridge in my camper(i think they are blue and white). My fridge currently runs off gas but i would like to be able to run it off both. Is it as simple as just putting the wires onto the battery, or is it more complicated.

If you run those wires straight to your battery you will have a very flat battery in about 3 hours!
You need to run one of the the wires to a switch mounted somewhere on the dash and a live feed from the fusebox to the switch, the other wire from the fridge needs to be earthed and heres the bit I cant help with without knowing the exact colours of the wires because one is a live and one is an earth.
It would pay to use a lighted switch so you dont forget to switch it off when the engine is not running, 12 volt should only be used when the van engine is running and not when sited.

Are you sure it's 12 volt, some fridges can also run off 240v. If it is 12v you really need to run it through a switching relay so it runs off the battery when it's charging on the run - it won't last long just off the battery. But be very careful there have been a few instances of the fridge circuit causing a surge in the ignition system recently and burning out the coil[xx(] I fitted a 240V heater to my fridge so it can run off a hook up, works brilliantly.

Where will i find the fusebox?

It's mounted on the front panel under the parcel shelf to the drivers side, it's got all of 2 fuses in it:I but usually a few spare connections. You might want to run a wire from the live side and go through a meaty in-line fuse so you dont overload the two that are there.
