Vw's are much better????? Seriously he/she has never owned a truly classic original camping experience, my brother in law has a 1969 darkside westfalia in lovely condition and gets really p'd off when we go camping together as everyone loves my van and not his, so much so, he doesnt go camping with me anymore.....lol Why would you want to fit into the crowd and have readily available parts (when MArtin MAltas exists) and too many forums and everyone always saying " oh my %^^&$$$ has got one of them". Do you realise I am the only one within 15 miles of me who has a commer not only does that make me "the only commer in the village" but it means that Ralph is a local celebrity. try doing that with an, everyones got one VW. Try sleeping six people in your van, try fittng any clothes in a VW wardrobe, try swinging a cat in a VW, not that im saying ive done that in ralph but i could, if i wanted to..... dont listen to your so called friend GO GET A COMMER

Now that was very well said the only trouble with commer's is... We have been away in ours for the weekend, and now home, i am missing being in her... i mope around for days everytime we return from a camping trip lol

Cazz... student commerade!!!!

Paul, i don't mean to pi@s on your chips mate but there's one in Peterborough remember? That makes it 8 miles HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA! Totally get the picture though dude;-)

Comm don who is in Peterborough? I know your in bytham and chris and nat is in bourne. Problem is I'm not very good at judging miles lol

I meant Chrisnat mate. Says Peterborough on his profile was all. In which case i guess is around 10 miles from you then?
Oh, and i think i should put my real name down as my signature, it feels odd when people address me as Comm Don HAHAHAHAAHA. Makes me sound kinds, well? Old. Comm Don just sounded like condom when i first registered ( Silly little play on words thing )

Scott.

HAHAHAHAHA. Thing is, if i'd have made it down to the meet and people were saying " Hi Don " nice to meet you, i'd have been too embarrased to say that it wasn't my real name and most probably have just went with it. Moreover to save anybody elses embarrasment HAHAHAHA.

I'm currently in an AA recovery truck getting a lift home. I asked the chauffeur if he had picked up many commers. He replied that in all his years this was the first, he has picked up loads of darksides. I pointed out that this is because commers are so reliable. Lol. Obviously has nothing to do with commers being rare and Darksides being everywhere ha ha ha. Hope when we find out the fault with clutch we can find the parts ! Lol. Be just my luck that we can't and I'll have to eat my words above.

Yeah it's really weird the clutch arm is rattling about all over the place, so not sure the clutch needs replacing more like it's come apart in the gearbox. Got go get it I to garage and have the gearbox out to see what's occuring. The AA patrol was excited about working on ralph and asked if he could drive him a little so he started him in 1st gear and went round the services car park, nearly home now. Gonna pick up car and travel to Tenby, gonna be a late one

I wonder if the bearing arm has snapped [:0] Or the diaphragm springs have given up the ghost.

I would 2nd Panky's suggestion. Or a snapped friction plate is not unheard of if youve been giving it some welly.

Cheers

Not sure, just got back from tenby and will if I get a chance get him in at the garage tomorrow see what they come up with.

Think the AA and highways agency, we're quite excited at the fact that they had something different to pick up when we broke down on the way to cambridge lol..

Hope you get Ralph all sorted soon :)

Cazz... had a lucky break to become Graduate commerade!!!!
