Who Built Campers From Minibuses?

After reading the thread about side door steps I realised that the Commer camper my dad had in the eighties had a side door step that dropped when the door was opened and it had curved rear corner windows too. Other than that all I remember is it had a half bulkhead on it too. Bit of a longshot I know but can anyone identify what we had?

Could be a 'maidstone' half bulkhead with wooden storage ?and rear side windows...If you can identify the pop top that will be the only definate giveaway

There were lots of home builts around too - I can't think of any other factory ones with the curved rear windows other than the Maidstone.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a home made effort, though my memory is a bit vague. Maybe looking at some Maidstones will help jog my memory

What a lovely van. The cooker looks to be in the right position but I can't remember anything else. I'll have to see if my folks have any pictures from back then
