Wheels, tyres and suspension

Hi all

Was just browsing through the pictures of the Cambridge and Tewkesbury meet. 2 Vans caught my eye reg BNP 68H and HUT 597L. Both look like they are lowered with different wheels.
BNP looks very low and i would hazard a guess at chopped springs upfront with the flipped axle at the rear.
But HUT maybe not, is it just a lower profile tyre on larger wheels that has given the same look, plus are my eyes wrong or are those peugeot 205 wheels on the rear. :)
I think BNP is running some V Dub rims.

HUT is Dave Jones' van and I think a Volvo axle. BNP is Milkandtwo's (Bobby), he mods darksiders for a living and applied some of his tecniques to BNP - axle flipping etc. The wheel are yank - can't remember exactly maybe Pontiac.

I think they are Camaro wheels.
 
Mmmmmm been checking, does not seem to be many wheels available with a 127 pcd, porsche come close at 130pcd. Blooming yank size [:0]

Chevy Camaro should fit, look at the FT van in readers rides.

Your goin to need some different tyres on those baz to get them on;) Let me know how you get on with bolting the front ones on regards the big cone on the front hubs and the centre bore.
 
HUT has now got volvo front hubs and disc brakes modified to fit the commer crossmember with ball joints top and bottom no more king pin crap! king pins.
 
I'm planning on swapping the 215s with the 195s on my Vectra. Imps have a similar issue with the front hubs, the alloys on LNK were machined to clear the hub 'cone'. We'll see how they go.

OK, I've decided not to buy the Camaro wheels after all. The PCD is not the same as the Commer and I don't like the idea of re-drilling stud holes. I know it can be done quite safely but realistically I need the cash more than I need the wheels.

So did I at first but the ones on the FT van have been re-drilled apparently.
