wheel sizes

I'm wanting to put some 15" wheels on my camper car when rebuilding this summer. I know the Rover Rostyles are an option but were there 'standard' 15" steels on the commer too?

It's the rim bead profile, there are several types B, J, JJ M,K and more. Apparently early Commer wheels share the same rim profile as vintage Bentleys and Jags - and agricultural trailers:)

Black round ones;)
I dont think so, never had an issues with standard van tyres and dont know of anyone else that has.

According to the Tyre Bible:-

"if your wheels are stamped 5J15 and you buy 5K15 tyres, rest assured they absolutely won't fit"

I just bought some 15" van tyres (195) and had them fitted at the local tyre place - didn't know about the K part ! Maybe we got lucky.

Incidentally we have a set of 4 55-profile 15" tyres for sale if anyone's interested. There's loads of tread, hardly used, but the profile is just a bit low for our van.

Don't think I've ever seen tyres stamped with the bead profile, maybe they are on cross ply's
