Wheel refurbishment

where in the world are you? I have had some morris minor wheels done very nicely at a place in Burton on Trent, but I was considering getting some other wheels done at a place in Glenrothes which has a very good reputation. I I had my wheels powdercoated, where you looking at getting some wheels chromed? Cool!

You had better have a sit down when you are told
the price of rechroming a P5 rostyle!!
I asked RJ pratleys ? ( i think it was them, they have an ad in P Classics mag) for a price and it would be in excess of £500 for 4 wheels !![:0][:0]
The problem is that the rims are a riveted together, and have to be split for re chroming..
Fortunatly mine wernt too bad, so I just polished mine up well, and then keep them well waxed!!;)
Fingers crossed your are ok..
(dont forget you will need to bore the centre hole in the wheels
out to aprox 60mm for them to fit on a Commer, and also you will need to enlarge the holes for the wheel studs, and make, or have made a 4mm ish spacer to fit behind the wheels, or the front ones will clash with the raised balancer drillings on the hubs
(not sure about the rear ones as I used a P5 axle)
