What's in a name

All our classics are named after girls, we have an old Karrier called 'Katy' and a couple of Hillmans 'Harriet' and 'Hannah' the names seem to have stuck over the years.

Jessica (our van) was named by our daughter (Meg - named after my favourite unit of data ;)). she also got to give her little brother a middle name and came up with Archimedes...

A commer down under - or down under a commer?

How about a cool ice blue (Austin Healey Ice Blue is nice) with a bright white as the two-tone?

Baz i think you just nailed it! That has to be my second favorite car of all time (after the commer of course) and i love that colour. They are even rarer here than commers tho.
Thanks.

Emmerson cos that's my name, and I've hated it for 67 years!
The van I used to have was called Burnie cos we bought him in Burnham on Sea.He now lives in Cardiff, I believe, and I'm Commerless:(

Late in on this topic just after sending a request of username change by e-mail. Andydna is a play on words again, think it's called a palendrome. Skye is my van as before mentioned, I thought about changing the name of Skye to Psyke, but it didn't work in an anagram style, it did in my head, but not on paper.

I muddled most of the faces, names and van names, Just confused, not totally confused, so next time i am going to bring a clipboard, pen and paper and draw a table, spidergraph or suchlike, and be there more than just a few hours.

The username "Mattmonkey" came from Matt (obviously my name...) and Monkey which has been a nickname since my childhood obsession with the Japanese TV show, which had me running around with a stick, pretending to ride on a cloud, and calling my friends pigsy, sandy and tripitaka....very, very sad.

I'm also good at climbing trees and picking things up with my feet....Hence "Monkey"

The Tourstar is called Pootle because of its lack of speed!

FDGorilla - I used to do a lot of sailing in a two person class called a Flying Dutchman - FD. Because of the loads involved, the 'grunt in the front' (the crew i.e. me) in these boats tends to be a bit larger than average! Because we dangle around on (trapeze) wires, crews tend to be likened to gorillas. Simples....
FD Crews tend to use rollerskates to stop their knuckles dragging on the ground.

The hand on hip pose above is interesting for such a 'butch' beast!
