Because of Enigma a lot of people just called me 'E' or 'Mr E' (as in mystery).........also a long story, I will spare you all from, but our nicknames play a HUGE part in how we met!!!!

Someone asked me this question at the weekend and my answer was pretty boring -

At work the username for our Windows accounts is the first five characters of our surnames plus our initial - chambA for me - which sounds better than a lot of other people's. When I'm not being called perv king, smelly boy, etc etc, it's generally Chamba, not Adam and it's kinda stuck.

Nothing original from me just my surname with a Y on the end:( it's the nickname that I'm known by (sure as hell beats "Fishface" which was the one I had when I was a kid)

Moley and Brian the Snail :)

I think I explained about the 70's cheesy pornstar moniker a few weeks back, but for those that missed out, you take the name of your first pet and your mother's maiden name. Seem's to work well at parties...and then you sober up

Sadly, some us have to take it that one step further, or never quite grow up and have it as a username!

Bigmonkeyman is because I'm a bit of a fan of the Specials and Amy Winehouse who have both covered BigMonkeyMan Its a bit of a family favourited too...

And I'm quite big, and like monkeys ... and er... a man :I

Its fine until I have to say it out loud when at a meet then I feel like a right plonker!

I used to go to work in t shirts with horizontal burn marks dirt stains and sealant on them (perfectly acceptable for a plumber:D). The consensus was I resembled Winnie the Pooh's best mate!

What about the van's names though.
eg why tulip or fontaine ?

Cheers
Jules

She was going to be named Tulip or Petula. Both sound like '60s/'70s names to me and I like to keep all things period with the van (sad I know). Nothing to do with racing, that would be rather ironic!

It is a large fridge like box on wheels that was painted in appliance white when we got it. The Highwayman. It had already been named The Iceman and it kind of stuck, mainly because we couldnt think of anything else to call him. We will probibly have to change it when he gets his new paint tho. Speaking of just trying to decide on the colour, i think two tone. Any ideas? Something light to keep the heat down but not to plain either...

A commer down under - or down under a commer?

I made the connection with the former (Ska's great with vans!) but I had assumed it was the latter!
