I rolled up the window blinds today, it now looks less like a CSI tent 
A quick spruce up of the rear reflectors, rubbed them down to their base plastic
Wet and dry to provide a key, then grey primer and gloss black before chrome paint finish. They'll do for a few years more ...
New seal kit from eBay, chrome bases not perfect but good enough
All going well until I've realised my NOS lenses weren't quite right. Anybody know if they're for the Spacevan instead ?
Anyway, a selection of original lenses are now in the dishwasher to see which scrub up the best
This also happened today, in between a serious session of wire brushing the front underside in readiness for epoxy chassis paint ...
Lovely...sure was something on car sos about restoring faded lenses with polishing compound...came out mint

Rear lens is correct but not bases, probably Hunter.
Thanks Martin, yes the chrome bases are Hunter/Reliant/Aston Martin for Lucas L782. My original Commer ones were black plastic bases for L782 and had the separate indicator and stop lenses to match - rather than these one piece versions.
To alleviate the worthwhile but tedious cleaning of the subframe and front underside, some shiny bits get added too ...
Pleased how this turned out.
All sorted for another 40 odd years ...

Was that the year tax was introduced?
My van was first registered in April 1975, so that would've been it's first licence - although I've used artist licence on where I was living at the time (aged 5 years !). With everything now all online plus £0 as in historic category, that custom repro tax disc cost will be all I have to ever pay
