Get another one made at a sign shop just in case lol. And the sign place would have a copy if anyone needed one. Not sure how popular they are??

Only mentioning it as I got a sign company to copy the ‘Pratts’ logo for my name to add to my logo as now self employed as made redundant. Sorry it’s not oil for classic vehicles though lol
Until I can source a better dashboard I'm going with my badly faded original ...
A good scrub up with hot washing up liquid made quite a difference ...
Looked at various options to reblacken - hot air gun, olive oil, peanut butter but went for some 'Solution Finish', will post the result
Actually mine doesn't seem too bad overall, just some small holes to fill/hide on the lower edge
Peanut butter smells better
But I'm not wasting my delicious organic peanut butter on my Commer - plus it's crunchy and will be hard to work with !!
Now that's what I'd call a result
A doddle to apply, leave to soak and buff off - it leaves a lovely low sheen finish with minimal effort.
Big question is how long it lasts before it needs doing again ...

That looks great. And the bits of nuts didn’t block any of the holes...... oh you used the solution finish. Came out good though

After turning my loft upside down, twice - I stumbled across it in my shed today looking for something else entirely.
NOS its accumulated a little surface rust but should still be good for years yet, being such a state of the art design

I might not be sticking with complete originality, the bulbous ends were always a complete pain to access and squeeze
I'm unlikely to find another decent air box as they all rot out due to a lack of squeezing, so needing to come up with an alternative that baffles the upwards air flow but still drains the water away.
