Just discovered a river of rainwater flowing into the front of the van :( Had a look under the dash where the airbox was supposed to be at least, just to see a sad collection of rusty bits and disconnected from the drain tube. Heater unit seems fine itself but won't be able to fully check until it all comes out.

Big question is on availability of airboxes but guess I'm banking on a lucky salvage item, unless Woolfy has worked his magic on these too . . .

Were these airboxes a standard design throughout, for instance does the Dodge with the different nose still have the setup ?

Any ideas of my options here ?

Well if you've been squeezing something else you have got it seriously wrong [:0]
 
I recently had to take the grill off to attend perrished ends of heater hose which still need to be replaced!not sure if they are available haven't looked into that as it's seems a bit daunting getting up there! this black rubber bit with a ball shape end has really been bothering me is it the bulb [?]
 
'Tis indeed the bulbous end in question, the very same one Paul ripped off in his early adventures with Nomad [xx(] It is the drain from the heater box, if not squeezed regularly it gets blocked and lies there useless and your box rots out [:0], beware.
