Well tell me something I didn't know

Hello campers since I changed the exhaust I've had probs with the running of the van so I sent it into get looked at I told the guy it's got no compression so he went about his business looking at this and that after a morning of tinkering he decided to do a compression test and the result where as fallows number 1 / 22psi 2/ 0psi. 3/ 115psi 4/ 70 psi so on that note I think I could have been right and guess what mate when your bill comes in I'm knocking 4hs labour off :0)

I took a car into a garage a few years ago that i knew needed a certain amount of work. I gave them a written list of things to do and asked that once done, it be put through an MOT and if it failed on anything else to call me before doing any work.

They called me up to say come and get the car. When I got there he showed me an MOT failure sheet and reeled off numerous items it failed on. All were covered by the work I'd asked them to complete prior to doing the MOT, none of which they'd done. All they did was MOT it.

He then wnet on to say that how can he tell what it needs without doing the MOT first. I pointed out that I had given him a list of jobs to do. Had he done them it would have passed the MOT. I decided to take the car elsewhere but he wanted me to pay for the MOT - I explained in short, easy to understand words that he was getting nothing from me and left. Git!

If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

This was a VW/Audi specialist (car was an older Passat) and he reckoned they could only get parts for modern ones. A quick call to GSF had all the parts put by for me, they were all in stock.

"You,re only supposed to blow the bloody SLIDING doors off"

It will be worth getting the valve seats checked while its being skimmed because if they are not gas tight you will be taking the head off again straight away after refitting to have them recut or replaced!
