Weber Jets and LE MANS

Hi all,

Does anyone have the correct jet sizes for a standard commer 1725 running with a weber direct replacement carb, I bought the kit from speedy's but the paperwork inside seems to indicate that it's for a Vauxhall viva or somesuch, commer starts and runs fine but in my opinion is running a bit rich (smell, starts without choke and sounds a bit 'fluffy')

I'm taking 'Daisy' (pale yellow with a white roof) my '73 home-converted non coachbuilt PB to Le Mans, but I'm leaving on Thursday this week in order to see the D Day COMMERmemorations next weekend. At Le Mans I'm camping at Houx, Non numbered from thursday 11th June. I will have some commer spares with me and I'm always up for a beer and a chat so come and find me.

It may be worth swapping phone numbers beforehand so please drop me a line by email. [email protected]

Thanks

Mike

Hi Mike,

I usually go to Le Mans, but baby due shortly means no speed-fest (or glorious engine noise festival) this year. But I hope to be able to do it next year, with Commer. Both the regular race and the Classic next July, if everything works out. So if you're going next year, please drop us a line :) And have a good race and trip this year! I'll be there in spirit.

Hi Ochy,
Fitted the weber carb last week...runs great and starts really well. I did notice the reference to the Viva?? - but it all seems fine:)
