webber

hi can anyone tell me what mpg they get after fitting a speedyspares webber to their camper. I am deciding if it is better to replace my engine for a modern one or to buy new carbs, ( not much different in price but more work for the engine swap)

thank you

Ian

I have fitted these kits, I think the only improvement is rearlly from smoother running and hense slightly more economical, well worth doing though ;)

Hi cornish:)

i have recently fitted a webber to my van, can't say about mpg as haven't done a huge amount of miles since, but like Martin says, if it runs smoother it must surely improve

Trust me it improves beyond your imagination:D:D

If there is any mpg improvement its not going to be much as its the basic engine thats inefficient [xx(]
your suggestion of a modern engine swap will be a better idea for economy, even if it is more work [^]

thank you for your replies. I think I am in for an engine swap and it would solve alot of problems in one go. the only problem is I cant find any of Matt's photos? does anyone know where they are? I remember they showed the engine mounts and stuff.

thank you

Ian

We would love to help but not sure who you are referring to, any clues as to who Matt is and what conversion he carried out:I

my engine swap is slightly more efficient than the original 1500 engine
