We are new..

hi we've been looking for an autosleeper too and like you had decided against coach build due to size. however, had been very tempted by a coachbuild on ebay recently that was local to us. decided we had to leave it as we were away this weekend so looking at it was not possible. bidding on ebay finished sun and must admit both feel bit gutted that we didn't bid. might not have been exactly what we wanted but would have been good for different reasons - if you keep getting drawn to it must be a reason!! good luck

Bessie (my autosleeper) doesn't fit under local car park barriers anyway [:0] had to do some evasive parking the other day to avoid pulling the bunting down at a church fete :D (and yes I did remember to put the roof down :I)

Good luck Adam & Ange, local friends wanted autosleeper size but found coachbuilt highwayman first - fell in love and are currently rebuilding the door on their shed to get it to fit;) - oh, and when it fits into shed will be fitting bigger 1725 engine as they find their 1600 a tad slow.

Good luck, am sure you will love whatever you buy, would love to know what type van is you've found:p

take your time, i would say. It took us 4 months to find 'Wilma.' When I think of some of the C**P we almost bought it scares me![:0]
 
Hi Adam & Ange,

I've just noticed a nice looking white Autosleeper in this months Classic Vans magazine which maybe of interest. Apparently only 15K miles (!!!) and supposedly excellent condition for £2,000. It's a Northants number so it's a few miles away from Norwich though.

I've taken a photo of the ad and will upload tonight as this is prohibitted from a works PC (I can't read the phone no. from the pic on my mobile's screen).

ps. Nice to see some other Commer fans in Norwich !
 
we've got a coach built and find her very roomy to stay in, however she does rock and roll a bit whilst traveling, extra space verses more refined ride, her engine screams like a banshee anything over 55mph and she could do with an overdrive gearbox one day. We think she is fab and wouldn't part with her but an autosleeper would be just as welcome in our household, as would any old commer really:D:D

As i have fallen in love as has Adam. he he

The space is great, the reason we wanted the autosleeper was for othertrips but we share a car and have no problems, plus Adam has his bike! There was a storage issue but my dad has kindly offered his garage/garden for storage and he has a pit so we can tinker to our hearts content!

I think the Commers have so much charector and its great to be different!

shucks guys its good to hear from you too. as per usual ive just been really busy lately with work and other things, but i have been looking in every so often i just havent replyed or posted any thing. but its good to be back.(i have got one good thing to say though ,and thats that ive sold over a thousand pounds worth of panels this month.);):p[:0]
 
cheers panky its good to hear from you mate, i know and to think a few months ago i was starting to have second thoughs about wether to carry on making them as things were quite slow. ive also had two more phone calls just this evening about panels and the people are going to send me some cheques in the post , so its starting to look good all round really.:p;)
