Its a beauty!! Nice front seats that turn to a bed as well..
Great if one of you is under 5 foot 7 ish..
or six foot can fit if you go corner to corner..

No awnings here sunshine, this little beauties going on some adventures. It's first proper trip will be to Italy, and further if we feel like it when we get there.

Just looking into getting a Peugeot XD 2.5TD fitted.

You'll have to let me know when the meets are, she ain't gonna be seeing regular tarmac for a while yet. We don't have a garage or anything so it's all weather permitting...and it's snowing right now.

I am a bit sad to see it go but I have the other two to play with.:)

Anybody up for a scrap heap challenge kind of day sometime?
Steve might want some of the parts from my other vans for LRF
I am going to make the remaining two vans into one good one.
The running gear is all going to be changed for a mixture of Nissan Cabstar and Volvo parts so none of the original Commer running gear will be used.
All the running gear from my other vans needs to be taken out to leave just the shells and the one good interior.
Steve might want the good 1725 engine and will want a few more parts but it is loads quicker with a group of us wielding spanners.

My wife is about to go pop with our second child so it would be sometime after the 'pop'

Yeah we'll probably be letting you keep the engine Rob. Depends how much of a job it is to fit those Sierra diesel engines that some people use which was the PSA XD unit. They also came in 2.5TD form in Leyland DAF 400's which should be fairly easy to source and give the van some oomph. No ECU or anything on them either, despite them being made until 96.

P.S. If anybody could bless me with more information regarding this swap such as a guide or something I'd be much appreciated. Or even if you know somebody else who has done this swap let me know.

Well done Santa Hul, good luck with your new purchase - sounds like it's gonna have some serious fun.

Haven't heard of this conversion myself but hope someone will be able to advise. If you do turn out to be a pioneer on this one, make sure you let us know how it goes;)
