Water Wetter and equivalents...

Has anyone tried these. Someone I know said it changed the temp on his MG from 3/4’s to half. Reviews for older cars look impressive too on Amazon and EBay. Could be £15 well spent. Works by reducing water tension and improves thermal conductivity of the water through the radiator. Last weekend at 60 on the motorway mine was getting closer than usual to the red, went down ok with heater on but last thing you want on a hot day.

Pretty sure it works like a detergent and from the little I've read about it it seems to work. Best used in plain water, apparently, and I suspect it will flush out some of the crap in the block so be prepared for the coolant to go rusty looking - and maybe develop a few leaks.
Worth a try and please let us know how you get on.

I've never tried it but there are people claiming 10, 15 and 20 degrees (F) temp drop and some saying it made no difference...

Yer I’ve ordered a pot somwilll let you know how it goes. Ont be a great test as I’ve just flushed the whole system out and refilled it but can only help I guess
