Can any body tell me how much water the onboard water tank holds in a Autosleeper [?]

Also is it just a mater of puting Miltons in to clean the system, or does any boby know a better way. I tyied the pump last night and it has water in it, as far as I can tell it has been there for three years.

I personally don't like to use the onboard tanks too much, tend to carry bottled water. Milton is one of the best ways though, but make sure it gets to all the pipework as well. ;)
 
Hi Macker,

from memory my '74 Highwayman's tank holds around 35 litres, however if you drive with this in it the engine returns around 12mpg!

I drain the water everytime we get on the move again.

We're in the same situation, years old water in there. Personally I was going to cut the tank in half and give it a good scrub out. Milton's the best thing to sterilise it but our water was coming out brown [xx(] so there must be all sorts in there.

I always just used the tank water for washing dishes and faces etc (not at the same time) and carried drinking water separately, might be good advise. Harvey's water tank capacity is 16 gallons in old money.

Thanks for the advise about the bottled drinking water.

On a simuler subject has any body fitted a plastic modern water tank underneath. If so what problems (if any) did you have to over come?

Mine came fitted with a polypropelene (is that how its spely. I can recognise it but not spell it) one

i wouldnt trust using the old water tank just incase, you dont know what bacterias ect are lurking in there,especially if it came from some where like mine. mine was used as a chicken coop for years.;):p[xx(]
