Spent Sat going to London to pick up another project (not commer), today lined up the van back doors and started attacking the gutter, plus tuning up the Chevy, for next weekends drag racing ;)

Oh, and got a b******g from the wife, bought yet another v8 motor off ebay [V]
 
yeah bargain, can you imagine how much they would have gone for if we had all of bid on them ;)shame you missed getting them to woolfy, you two are still talking then [}:)] any news on the bt van [?]
 
I think we may buy it together, we both have the same intentions, restoring it to its former glory, so we may do it together :)

I wonder if the guy selling the chassis sections, thought it odd nobody else bid :I
 
Well Chevvy only made about 25 million. Did you see the Robbie Coltrane TV series on engines. The episode about the V8 was brilliant, He met a guy who had a load of old air raid warning sirens powered by propane fuelled Chevvy V8's. They had one of these on the workshop floor straight off the roof top where it had been for 40 odd years, they fitted a carb and a battery and it fired up almost immediately. With no exhaust it was quite a site, flames out of the ports and noise, wow :p[8D]:D.

ok so when we got dropped back off from alien land after being abducted did they keep paulfordy for scientific experiments that man has dissapeared from the planet, if your out there man get in touch let us know your safe or dissected
 
i spent the w/end on the riley ,getting it mot worthy and welding repairs :) dicovered both uj,s are shot so i need to make up another prop [:(!]

we spent our last (hopefully) weekend under canvass at a festival.. tin skin all the way soon!
 
Pauls been away since last thurs at a festival sure he will be along shortly to tell us of his adventures,but not sure if he is in nomad??
 
I spent the weekend nursing a cold [xx(][xx(] Sunday spent trying to work out how the bed folds out in Skye [:(!][:(!] Still cant work it out - very frustrating:(:( Maybe someone can help me at the October meet. Otherwise will be sleeping on the floor [8D][8D]
 
Debs normally the table folds down & is placed in between the rear seats.Then the cusions are just put horizontally,so the cushions that are "seat backs" (mine are slotted onto side wall by means of a hook & loop.)I have to hit mine from the bottom on one side as it gets stuck!hope this helps.could take your cusions out and try getting a photo to put on here ?
 
Think i may have to take some pics Chris cos I can't work it out. The table just seems to sit over the two seats and has no groove to sit in like my folding caravan does. [:(!] most odd.[:0]
 
perhaps someone has changed it so it can not turn into a bed [?]does it look as though it is all original? Rans seats can no longer be turned forward facing as they should,as someone has nailed it all down,then carpeted over the top :(
 
i just think i have the basic version of a camper. Cant find anyone else with one like mine. I think that Haylett who did the conversion were not the fanciest of companies. Cant find anything on the interenet about Haylett other than that the company had problems in the late seventies[xx(][xx(]
 
will have to do some reading,sure studio will too,might have to send out a search party for her though where's she go to? haylett & olypian rings a bell pardon the punn [}:)]
 
Ding Dong!! lol. Skye originally came from a dealer in Bristol before she came down to Somerset. Both garages dont exist any more. The original owner has passed on too.:(:( Saw a bit on the internet about Haylett conversions on veedubs but nothing of much help.[V]
