Just seen current ebay price...! Can't imagine a VW of the same age/condition going for too much more than £2500?? Commers are certainly going up in value??

if I guess, i'll have to stay up to see if I was closest! I'll go for £2050....and a rather large engine will be bought!

i reckon £2350.00;) and if it does fetch that sort of money for you it will have all been worth while parting with the cash you paid for it.;):p

LOL, he isn't getting any, he is getting money to put in his Florida pot....How tight does that make me look:D

The other half does not know yet. She is fast asleep. Was going to buy Zena’s old bus a few months ago. I have been buying Classic van and pick-up for about 6 years watching cheap vans pass me by as I had no garage. Now we have moved I have been bidding on ‘Tax Free’ Austin/Morris J2's and 152's, Thames 400s, Bedford CAs and Commers. May as well have a look at this ‘75 Commer and see if I can bring it back to its former glory, (as if I didn't have enough priorities already with 3 kids and stacks of house renovation on the list). I will post any pictures if I start welding and spraying.

There’s a 152 coming up on ebay next month from a classic dealer, which is worth about 4 grand.

I was the highest bidder on the red Thames yesterday and it didn’t reach the reserve. Hopefully this van will need less time and welding.
