we have just come back from a brilliant 500 mile round trip to Yorkshire and Mr OJO pulled like a train all the way....up and down all the peaks ...here is a photo of us on the top of Moss just about to go down into Holme Firth (our camera says 2010 ...but it was last week . He sailed through the Mot a fortnight ago ....not even any advisory notes . We really LOVE this old van .........after owning a veedub bay for 15 yrs ...we now wish we had found OJO first ...as these old Commers are far nicer and have much more character , so it is very sad for us -but we realise that we need something alot faster to zip off to see family etc at weekends and OJO is much more of a classic cruiser ...if we were loaded and had a huge garage -there would be no question of parting with this lovely old bus - but there we go -thats life ...and we have been lucky to have had some great camping trips in him . We took some photos today and put them on flikr (Animal Jack)
We bought OJO last year and since then we have done LOTS of nice improvements - like new door and roof seals - bits of re-chroming - replacing(re-sealing & waterproofing windows ) Waxoyling throughout etc etc...loads of little interior improvements etc ...so we think 4000 is a very fair price for a lovely van in this condition -with a full mot....the first person to see OJO will drive him away...(as we did !)
(the link to the photos will be in the next posting.... Cheers A. )
