always the same , miles away from me .

van in hitchin, Hertfordshire to me Edinburgh 350 miles.

anyone had anything transported from that area?
company ?
just trying to get some figures to go with.

realise the return load is the problem ,[xx(]

i think you would be looking at £1.50 - £2.50 per mile minimum - unless it was a runner and you could get someone to drive it up

Cheers,
unfortunately it's been laid up for 2 years , which is not good for anything ...just needs a bit tlc to recommision as it looks solid otherwise for an mot .
Petrol tank I think needs renewed {snakeskin} so I wouldn't get far.
Got a mondeo estate but not sure if weight wise and safety! , would legally be alright to get it myself.
looks a great wee van , and an autosleeperish[8D] set up which is on the tic list.

I always use that reverse auction website, I'll try dig out the name. People bid down on a car delivery till you accept a winner. Good thing is they can double up a return journey so can be much cheaper.

cheers,
will see what happens early days yet,big chunk of my budget would be swallowed up on transportation. I liked the look of the citrus van [8D],
or could just leave as is with the black paint removed and clear coated , then my son might take an interest.;)

Id leave it and just use it but that's me.i think its got an ace mean look bout it.ring Craig tomorrow mate im sure his quote will cheer you up

Www.shiply.com I've never had an issue and always far cheaper than elsewhere as generally someone will pick another up on way back. Worth a try

That is a stupidly low price just be carful it dont end up on a weigh bridge you wont be the first on here to have that happen. I wouldnt even bother starting my recovery truck up for that. A 700mile round trip they must be mad or got one coming back down on the way back, its the only way it would pay off.

A commer with even bigger boost will be appering on a screen near you soon!

yup , you're spot on [B)], only 1 feedback to show , and using a car trailer so the weight issue comes up, second £400 quote was a closed in trailer , £440 a lorry seems the option , and was told to check their insurance also before confirming a deal.

Interesting, not sure how it works with car trailers and campers, to be fair I've only used them for cars and generally nothing crazy expensive so worth the risk. I guess if it's a large 4x4 and a twin axle braked trailer it might be ok but I'm not clear on the sums you need to work it out. You'd hope the guys would be above board but you never know.
