vauxhall engine in Commer Spacevan

Hi All,

Just wondered what Vauxhall engines people had used in Commers, and which seemed most suited? Planning on calling the garage where my commer is just now, and suggesting the option of changing the engine to vauxhall, but would be good if I knew a little about which engine is best.

Its not quite as easy as some may say[V]
I found it hard work !!
But I agree that a good mechanic/fabricator should sort it
out for you..Its a time consuming job, and the engine and box
has to fit at a funny angle..etc.. etc..

Thanks Will and Admin, some good info on the link! Spoke to the garage and they don't want to get involved, so spoke to Dozer, and am thinking about sending her on a merry ride to Somerset :)

Unfortunately it is usually left to the enthusiasts to take on this kind of work, your average garage can still charge the same rate for servicing and changing wheel bearings they wouldn't want to break into a sweat now would they. The great thing is Dozer that is a guy who obviously enjoys what he does and takes pride in it as well, how good is it to do what you like doing, get paid for it and then spend the cash on some more of what you like to do [8D]
