the van runs fine but i didnt get time to put the fuel tank back on, or connect up the lights or back brakes as i need to make new pipes for them. but everything else was ok. i had quite a fw interested in it and some went away with my number. but only one a hole of a bloke made an offer on it ,if you can call it an offer. he rang me up and we got talking, he asked how much i was looking to take for the van so i steered him in the direction i was after but said make me an offer. he replied i know its good but it aint a volkswagon, so i replied ,i know thats why i aint asking for volkswagon prices. and if you can find another one as good as this at the money your offering then good luck to ya. anyway he offered me £4000.00 at first then he said £5000.00. i replied its had that spent on it in panels and trim alone.
Fair play, what figure would have seen it as sold then?
I recon keep hold of it for a while as they will soon be at vw money there starting to see the light and leave the following flock
a bit more than that really, as you fully well know yourself these vans cost alot to do, so i wasnt gonna loose out by giving it away.he was just being cocky down the phone and trying his luck.i mean everything is new on the van from front and rear light fittings to brake pads and cylinders, master cylinder.pedal rubbers to wiper blades arms and even motor. the door locks are new along with rubber trim .wheels shot blasted and powder coated. new tyres.the trim as you already know and there will be a new head lining in it next week, so vertually a brand new motor. haha
so too re-cap then the van is nearly finished and will be for sale if anyone is interested in making a serious offer for it. or if you have a van that you might want to part exchange along with cash i may be tempted either way. so why not give me a call,on 07968 634055.just ask for the woolfman.
actually fontain if you look on life in the old dog second from last page there is a picture of a new comer pa in the workshop with the louvered windows in place.
Yep, seen those thank you woolfy. So you don't need to send pics - but could you just check the measurements and post them....i'll email you this too so you can email if easier. I guess it is best to do it from the edge of the metal surround lenght and width wise as thats where mine are measured from.
the van now has new brakes all round along with new copper pipes and cylinders and master cylinder. van has also been completely seam sealed and stone guarded underneith as well. so its off for an mot next week with a bit of luck.
just to let all you guys out there know that yes i do still own the van as i didnt sell it in the end,so a case of buy your own van again, haha. the guy came all the way from ireland and wanted to offer me.£5000.00 for the van.silly really as it was a waste of air fair etc, especially as the start price on ebay was there for everyone to see at £6000.00. so maybe with a bit of luck i might see you all at the welsh weekend next week.
