he has to stoke his engine first before he sets off in the morning for work, that must be the reason hes always late, he has to build up the steam first. haha.

dont worry mate i will be giving you some red wine in a box once we meet again. yes as you can see i think we should play a game called count the amount of patches on the front panel and how many more there is to do. we also patched up the side cill today.just the doors and rear corner to do i hope, unless i find anything else lurking behind, on the inner cills. sorry guys about the patina, it wasa tough decision to make to be honest but it needs to look good once its finished and has all the sign writing on. and its having new lower panels and i thought it might look a bit naff with new paint on these areas and old paint else where. as you can see the passenger side of the van has not escaped the rust bug either and is just as bad as the drivers side. well i did say i was in for the long haul didnt i. this just goes to show to others that it may look good on your vans on the outside but this type of stuff could be on the inside once you start digging and poking. (iss not nice), unless you like rust porn.haha
I like that approach - it's what I did with the Mini and also with Harvey - repair what is there(if you can:I). The scatter-gun approach rather than all out blitzkrieg.
oh i also forgot to mention that the yellow inner wheel arch was only made yesterday and the commer rust bug has taken hold already, haha.no seriously it was kindly donated to me by my good friend steve arnatt .(who i have to say, never throws things away). and i am going to use parts of this and make a good wheel arch out of two rotten ones, or try to.i bet you cant guess what type of van it came from by the paint. actually i have a bit of information , that might make you shudder to the core. and you might want to send around the linch mob. he confessed to me that he cut up five of six bt vans in the past on his front garden lawn.[:0]
Fine work as ever Woolfy! Could you tell me how the patch below joins to the top panel please??? Is it a stich weld that you'll grind back later??? I'm confused.com
