exactly my friend,see two great minds think alike. i would have sold it but i dont think there would be too many takers for an old surface rusty orginal panel.;):p:D

looking at the shape of it .i may just use it as a bath for mixing the plaster up in. after ive welded up all those silly light holes of corse.:D:p;)[:0]
 
i tell you what in the back of the van is an original set of chrome wheel trims or hub caps as we know them by, and they look in really good nick,just dusty, a good old rub and they may be on ebay at a puond under those rediculously priced ones at about sevent puonds or so.haha. then again i may be re using them on the van.;):p
 
They make very good ash trays or water bowls for the dog, they'd be wasted on a van :I

the trouble is though panky they have an allergy to water, they get this brown crusty rash all over them in a matter of weeks, just take a look at that old lucas panel van for instance.:p:D
 
i cant belive your talking of 19 inch alloys already when your vans disappearing further into the under growth on a daily bases. theres probably more metal in this window screen surround panel than whats left on your slider.haha ;):D[:0]
 
its up on blocks now, so the air can get around the bottom half, i dont want a rust bubble appearing and blemishing the sheen on the paintwork do i ;):D

great to here it timgood news,so when is the big move going to happen then,has any date been set aside. well ive sent one of my lads down to the new work shop last week and hes cleared out the entire back of the van, it looks fantastic now its cleaned up. hes also made the lock up more secure and installed a few more electrical sockets and lights ect. i would have done some myself but ive been a bit unwell again just latly ive had a flu like virus that turned into a chest infection, so i couldnt really go out all last week and only ventured out today to take a peek. i will go again later in the week and take a few pics.[xx(]

we are still in limbo at the moment, so i cant pick up the slyder until we move, theres not alot of room left here [:0]

like you said tim its so nice to have a work shop to work in, no more pebble rash for me. just chill blains piles from the cold concrete floor to contend with now. but i have my nice new trolly to ly down on now when going under the vans.:p;):D

yes now that bumbles has gone home to there owner and basses van is at the spray shop i thought i would bring back into the work shop this weekend my super sexy pb van for some serious cov commer chopping and welding. theres plenty of rot for all you rust porn freaks out there. i will take some pics tomorrow of the bad bits so far ,and try to get my old mate panky to post them up for me.:p;)
 
well im off too the unit for the day now to see what i can chop off, i will report back later with the bad news.(because it generally is bad news most of the time ). see you later.;):p
 
It's not pretty - but it's a panel van and I think woolfy is the man who can fix it. I suspect it will loose some of it's 'patina' in the next few weeks.
