Hi Everyone
Just Kampers have a new van cover in stock here:

Mine has started falling apart (it has a few tears on now, the stitching has come loose in some places and one of the zips has broken) so I'm looking for a replacement.

Does anyone know if this will fit a commer?

Admin, can you pop round in the PA and do a trial fit for us ;)

it fits a type 25 or transporter & will go over a pop top,so I would think it would fit a commer,ask them if you can try one for fit & have a full refund if not?

I just compared the dimensions on wikipedia and it looks as though the Commer is 10" shorter and 2 1/2" wider so it should probably work (might look a little wrinkly at the top)

I'll drop them an email and ask

I keep meaning to sort out a mutually convenient date to try many things on the commer such as roofracks and covers! Only 6 miles or so - I'll charge the battery and go in my week off perhaps ;)

Does anyone ever read my posts???????? I have been raving on here about how good thes just Kampers covers fit the commer there are pics of mine with it fitted on on here.:D

I also have one, although its a shame you can't get in the back doors, otherwise well worth it. Didnt leak at all with all the snow we've had!

OK, so I had another look at the covers in DodgyMark's post above. The seller has something like 99% +ve feedback on 25k + transactions so I had a quick look at the -VEs and there were a few complaining about slow deliveries. The listing quotes a next day service as part of the free delivery so I thought OK, go for it. I paid by paypal at about 10pm on Monday night. They obviously will not have seen the order until Tuesday morning. It arrived this morning - by any standards that's pretty good service.

It comes in a big bag (like a sleeping bag does) and they advise two people plus a step-ladder when it comes to fitting, but not in the wet obviously. So, with the current weather it's staying in the bag for now. Who knows, if I get my garage built before the end of the year I may never use it!

As you can see it does appear to be a breathable cover judging by all the little holes.

Hi All,

As i have 11 commers, i am having some covers made for them in china, using the best quality material i can find directly from a factory. Its supposed to be the same green stuff used by the army.

I have also added some plastic zips on each side of the rear to allow it to be opened and head inside.

They are quite large, 4.4 long x 2.2 wide x about 1.8 or 2M high (actually forgot).

Will post some pictures when i get them. I made 5 commer ones and 5 for my 109 series Mercs, just to try the factory out.

If they are good, i will make it in the custom shape of the commer next.

My chinese wife was on holiday and found this place, so lets see what turns up !!
