Useless

I get so frustrated when I see the brilliant work being done by forum members on various projects. Is it just me that's useless or are there other members in the same boat. I can't use a grinder or cutter, haven't the faintest clue about using a welder and if I tried would probably set the lot on fire. I have no idea about engines or other mechanical bits and so everything has to be done for me. My last Commer/Dodge I had for about 7 years and she was used for going to work, shopping and various other daily things as well as taking me on holidays, even in the mountains of Wales and she never once let me down so I never needed to learn about the finer points but one thing I did and that was keep her well greased and serviced. Wish I'd gone to night school to learn how to do all these jobs.

You need to start by saying commer you are a universal being of light! Please accept what you need fron this reki to make you whole in body, engine, and cpu, thereafter hope all goes well!

I too used to be of the very same opinion Les. But one thing i have learnt is that most things can be reversed if done wrong. The best way i found was to attempt the task yourself with always the knowledge that if you get it wrong there will always be somebody around to help out. I call it my haircut mentality....I will attempt to cut my own hair and if i get it wrong i will give in and take myself off to the barbers to get it sorted...i'm 37 and haven't been to a barbers since i was 18 also, try Youtube, so many video tutorials around now, unlike back in the day before cpu's. Oh and plenty of common sense and safety when using welder's and Grinder's etc as i have had a few close shaves myself:O Guys and gals will vouch for me here, before i brought our van i wouldn't dare to touch a thing...Pia opened my naive eyes and made me realise that it's either lots of money in somebody elses pocket or the satisfaction that you took the task on and got there in the end yourself loads and loads of friendly and helpfull people around here so do yourself a favour and give it a go - Take your time and try to do your best. You WILL get things wrong from time to time so don't be harsh on yourself. Good luck and always take piccies (We like them)
Oh, and i still won't attempt the greasey bits just yet, first things first ay

Thanks for all the encouragement. I suppose I'm hoping that when Mr M. finished with her she's not going to need anything doing for quite some time. Lots of trouble free motoring and camping.
