Unwanted Ads

Thankfully this site isn't plagued by pop-ups and other annoying ads but others are just getting stupid. I run Adblock Plus as trawling Ebay meant my PC slowed down to a crawl and Photobucket was a joke. I've had this on my machine for three or four years and I've only just noticed that there is a function on ABP to show how many ads have been blocked, unbelievably the total count is just a few hundred thousand short of 2,000,000 TWO MILLION:eek: - I keep looking at the little numbers that appear next to ABP icon now and the most I've seen on an Ebay page is twenty and the least was seven. I don't know about anyone else but I look on these ads as pure spam and (even if I could see them) would never consider deliberately clicking on one of the links and even less buying any of the products they try to push so why on earth to they keep trying:mad:
Just to point out ABP is totally free and installing it is dead easy - and they don't try to spam you afterwards:)
Rant over - where's the Tylenol .

I don’t have a computer (only phone) Only one at work to use sometime. But I agree though, fantastically annoying. I quite often just walk away

Also nice to sponsor your beautifully ad-free forum - we have almost half our ongoing monthly costs taken care of by kind patrons, to whom I am most Thankful.

:lthough ads are much better nowadays due to cookies (if you block those then you’ll get very irrelevant ads) as they are targeted rather than random. Problem is they make you buy stuff you want :)

Good isn't it. There are still a few embedded adds but no where near as intrusive.
