OK - I bought Pootle WAYHEY

No stereo equipment fitted so thats gonna be a job over Christmas (I reckon)

The SERIOUS question is Where do I fit this kit without spoiling the interior?

Got 2 sets of speakers and a head unit to fit - dont reckon I want to start cutting the dash so was thinking about one of those old school radio plastic holder things mounted under the dash

Thinking Head unit at the front along with a set of speakers and then another set in the rear - just been out to look at possible locations and its worried me! (don't wanna spoil anything)

You can get the nice retro ones now that look the part. As for speakers, I managed to mount two 150w ones under the dashboard by making n MDF mounting. Can't see them at all - sound is ok from them, not ideal but good enough (unless you're doing over 60 )

I've seen head units fitted to the engine front cover before, that holder would be ideal for it.
I fitted the speakers either end of the dash (I needed to make one anyway) and hid them behind home made mesh grilles, but there's a limit to the siz that will fit.



That's a false front on the head unit by the way

I've been thinking over exactly the same problem. We have an Old but good Hacker transisitor radio for the living end, and for the cab, I was thinking of a retro head unit set in the dash, which has already been carved up, a couple of 6x4s in the ready made holes under the dash, then a couple of small speakers top left and right at the back of the cab. We would be able to hear these OK sitting in the living quarters (and they would cover a couple of holes that need covering up). But there's the minor matter of an engine rebuild to do first!

I expect this will all change the longer I think about it.

I fitted some pod speakers under the dash, they are 4 ohm so are designed for car application but look like TV surround speaker. They tuck right under the dash so cant be seen.
