Trusted commer workshop in Gloucestershire

I would like, over the coming months, to do some maintenance/updates to the van, such as someone to take out the side sliding windows, clean the channels and replace cracked glass, and also replace rubbers and seals as needed, but I don't know where to take her in the county, to someone who knows what to do. For those who have not met me, I can kit out blue spot interiors, but nothing remotely useful!! Does anyone have any good garages or recommendations in my area, all the good guys seem up north and I think it's too far for my baby. Would a vw garage be able to do this, there is one near Swindon and it must be the same principle? Any suggestions welcome[:X]

Can't really help I'm afraid......why not go camping for a few days at Commerland (Martin's) and combine the work with a holiday? ...at least you would know for sure the work required was in good hands

I would steer clear of a VW garage as you would be getting charged VW prices by someone that does not know the vans. Been there!

I would have to say that it would be worth the inconvinience and effort to take it to one of the Commer specialists, you will get a good job done.

Bring it up north and let the northerners sort it. (labour rates are good and the beer is cheaper)

I sorted my garage into 4 piles of stuff.
1. Stuff I`m keeping
2. Stuff I`m not getting rid of.
3. Stuff I might use..one day.
4. Stuff that might come in handy.

The shop that did the work on my Commer is near Bridgwater, they have done more VWs, e-types and Pops than commers but they could probably do what you want, they are just incredibly busy!
