travel

Well I am still on the road but its raining today and I found a email connection .The van has not missed a beat in 2500 miles been bogged twice in sand , lsd would be great or that is what the in people used to say. You would be surprised how many 60 yearold,s come up to me and say they traveled Europe in a Commer they bought and sold in front of Australia House in London .There must have been hundreds of them traveling till they disappeared up their own exhaust pipe . Some say they have photo.s taken in front of Australia House in those times and there would always be about 10 vans of different makes awaiting new owners to do the trip again. I will have to try to sauce a photo.

A mere 2500 miles - slacker;)

How refreshing

Slacker? No just brave. Do the maths!

At an average speed of 50 mph thats 50 hours behind the wheel of a Commer. Think of that when you are at work this week, sitting behind the steering wheel for more time than you will be sitting behind a desk in the office etc.

Its a big country and still plenty of ground he hasn't covered.

A mate of mine did the trip right around the country some years back, covering 6000 miles and taking 3 months to do it and he had the luxury of a well fitted out Range Rover! His comment back then was that there is some stunning and spectacular things to see and experience, but F**k there is a lot of nothing in between in places.

Good luck to you and many miles more of trouble free travel

Cheers Stephen
