Top dead centre

Hi everyone. Kermits timing has been shot to bits because of a loose distributor and I'm going to try and fix it today. What I need to know is how to find top dead centre and witch spark plug is number 1/2/3/4 etc any any info would be great as I don't have a Manual thanx

Is rather quiet on the site at the moment due to a lot of members being at the Coventry Meet.[8D] Half their luck too :p:)
