Sellers of VW Split Screens ask outrageous prices here too and people are dumb enough to pay $10K+ for a wreck needing a total rebuild. Later models are also highly priced for what you are getting.

The pricing on this van is due to its business potential as it can make you money. The Karrier was popular for Mr Whippy etc, as they had the height to work. I used to see these around when I was a kid, but they slowly got replaced, mainly by high roofed Ford Transits and the occasional Bedford CF. An old Transit still stalks the streets around my house most weekends.
