well to be honest I'm not very clever at reading diagrams like that....but to me I can see that C1 and C4 are joined inside so my theory in my last post should be correct yeah? ...thanks for going to the trouble to help me
I'm assuming the wiring is the same for both J-Type and D-type?
mine is D-type but the commer manual only covers J-type...
Sure is Mr P[8D]...do you have this self cancelling switch on Harvey?
Did you have an original 6RA relay 33199 or one of speedys modern versions? i got a slip of paper with it telling which terminal to use
ie;-
W1 use 86
W2 use85
C2 use 30
C1 use 87
C4 use 87
the thing is on the relay it has 87 and 87A so which is C1 and which is C4??:I

I bought a 6RA off ebay but couldn't get it to work with the self-cancelling switch[V] so I binned it and wired it up through a standard relay with a switch on the gearknob It doesn't self cancel but the inhibitor switch stops me selecting OD in any gear other than 3rd and 4th.
here's a diagram i made simple for myself that might be helpful to others using Speedys substitute relay (6RA 33i99) for use with a self cancelling switch
